Food! Glorious Food! and Education

A growing trend in the United States and its urban cores is the concept of bringing agriculture back into the cities.

There are tons of benefits from this!
  1. Jobs
  2. Fresh Available Food
  3. Educational opportunities
  4. Aesthetics & Beautification
Detroit is an excellent city to capitalize on this trend.  We as Metro Detroiters and as active citizens in Southeastern Michigan should find various was to support this trend.

What is my personal Idea?

I think that we need to incorporate agriculture / horticulture programs back into the schools and coordinate these educational programs into service learning opportunities for urban city youth.
